The newspapers state tliat Mr. Lloyd George will announce to-day that the cash reparation demanded by . Britain and the Dominions from Germany will be eight thousand millions sterling. A report, via America, states that an extraordinary meeting of the German Cabinet, has 'been called to discuss the probability of the Allies occupying Berlin, owing to Germany's alleged inability to conform to the terms of the armistice.—Reuter Service. Tbo Finance Sub-Committee of the Armistice Commission at Spa has intimated that Germany must not alienate the gold at the Beichsbank or foreign securities, railways, mines, or any industrial, commercial, or colonial enterprises wherein the State is interested; she must also restore all documents talcen from France and Belgium.-—Aus. A British official statement says that the entry of Allied troops into Baku, Batoum, and other parts of trans-Cau-casia does not imply the intention of permanent occupation, but is solely to enforce the terms of the armistice and maintain order.—Bcirter.
