One and all vied with each other in doing his or her duty, thus tending to make the one grand whole such a wonderful success. The hearty co-operation of the Medical Superintendent, the medical profession and the Hospital Board was a tremendous help in completing the organisation, and to them also are duo our thanks and appreciation. The Mayoress cannot sufficiently express her gratitude for the unselfish manner in which the women workers responded to the call, especially those who attended the sick in their homes, many of whom are lying ill to-day in consequence.
