ELTHAM.
(Frota Our Own correspondent.)' Eltliam, Dec. 7. At a meeting of the School Committee last evening, Mr. I. J. Bridger' in tlio chair, it was resolved to endeavor to secure the release from military duties at Rotorua of Mr. H. W. .Jackson, first assistant at the school. Owing to Mr. L. Moss joining the Stratford firm of solicitors, Messrs Halliwell and Thompson, he resigned his position as secretary to the committee. Eltliam will lose a good citizen when Mr. Moss removes to Stratford. •Inquiries made indicate that Eltham is fepadfiy getting back to normal conditions as far as influenza is concerned. The admissions are now each Week becoming very small, and the patients going out from the hospitals each day will soon relieve the officials and workers of jmuch work and anxiety.
