TROOPS FROM RUSSIA. FORCED TO MARCH IN SNOW. RUSSIANS OCCUPY RAILWAYS. Received Dec. 3, 1.30 a.m. Paris, Dec. 1. The German, troops occupying Russia tre returning to Germany under great difficulties, half a million being forced to march home in snow and rain. They are unable to use the railways, because the returning Russians have taken over all the rolling stock. The Germans are robbing the villages, the inhabitants fleeing when the soldiers approach.—Reuter.
SOLF'S RETIREMENT DEMANDED.
SEIZURE OF DOCUMENTS ORDERED. INVESTIGATION INTO HUN CRIMES. Received Dec. 3, I.IS a.m. Vancouver, Dec. 1. An Amsterdam message states that The Tageblatt has been officially in formed that the Workmen's and Soldiers' Council demands the speedy retirement of Di. Solf, and has ordered the seizure of all documents relating to foreign affairs and the old government system of Germany.
The Government is starting to investigate Htm crimes in Belgium, such as the deportation of workmen, the theft of Belgian machinery, and the murders of Captain Fryatt and Nurse CavilL—Reuter.
