ELTHAM.
(From Our Own Correspondent. Eltham, Nov. 30. It is with deep regret I have to record the death of Mrs. J.. A. Wheeler. Deceased lias been in the local hospital for treatment almost a week, and her condition was not very reassuring when admitted. She leaves two young children.
In common with other parts of Taranaki, Eltham lhas lost, some fine citizens, but the loss of-both parents in one family is a very sad experience. A second fatality Is that of Mrs. Eichstaedt, who died from influenza. A distressing feature is the knowledge that deceased died at child-birth.
One cannot help but admire €he fine work being accomplished by the voluntary 'assistants, both ladies and gentlemen, who have not stinted themselves in tlheir efforts to assist those afflicted with the disease. Matters are now progressing must piore favorably, but we still have many patients whose condition causes anxiety to relatives and friends.
