INFLUENZA MATTER;
■ ■ Received Nov. 27', 7.45 p.m. Sydney, Nov. 27. Tour more deaths from influenza occurred m quarantine. Owing to reports that Fiji'was badly afflicted, the whole of the Pacific Islands will now be regarded as infected, and vessels from there will be treated similarly to New Zealand shipping. Three inoculating depots were opened in the city to-day, and were rushed. The Manuka was released from quarantine. Medicos here, referring to the London cable that the Newcastle Vigilance Committee had been informed that the influenza epidemic there was drr to bad bacon, and that the local medico had successfully treated 400 patients for swine fever, rather than for influenza, scout the idea, as experience in Sydney provide no ground for such a theory.Aus. and N.Z.
