Very few fresa cases were reported in Inglewood to-day, reports l'rom the outlying parts are bad. Tkreo cases were sent in to New 'Plymouth, one from Durham Road, one from Norfolk Road, and another fzoip. Kaimata, and more are expected. Settlers arq urged to advise tha bureau regarding cases at once. Don't delay; we can't bo too emphatic on this point. Delay meaiy? danger. Several hopeless cases have been notified at the last moment, when, if taken in time, lives could have been saved. If you can't come in, get in touch with tha aearest creamery. Tha manager will advise us. The relief cars' are flashing to and fro, but cases can be missed. So help the bureau by promptly advising them of eases, and thereby help yourselves, The bureau staff are anxious to help, bat are handicapped by delay. The news of the death at the New Plymouth Hospital to-day of Mr. Bert Brown was received hero witli deep regret. He was 3. popular young fellow and a great sport, and previous to liis fata] illness w&3 losal manager for Messrs Pike and Waters, cordial manufacturers. He was a single man, and has no relatives in these parts. The remains of tha lato Ben. Stimpsoiv were interred here ting afternoon, the Rev. Harvie officiating at the graveside, j "Ben" spent practically all his career : here, and was very popular. He leaves a wife and two children. Mrs Stimpson is at present a patient in the New Plymouth Hospital, and has tho sincere sympathy of the whole community.
Mr. Claud O'Carrol, who has toeen ■working energetically at the bureau, has had a relapse, an 3 is confined to his bed. We seriously trust that his case is not serious, for we cannot afford to be deprived of his s£rvicea»at thi3 juncture. Mr. Crossmao v another worker, has developed influenza;" We wish him a speedy recovery.
'Father Long has been ill, but i 3 making satisfactory progress tasvards recovery. The Bev. Mother and Sister from the Convent have been working splendidly during the crisis v visiting and assisting the siek day and nightAdvice has come to hand from Tariki that Tooth Harry and lan. Walker have died from the effects of the epidemic. Both young fellows were well known and highly respected here. Another well-Enown young fellow, Alf- Walker, of Junction Road, has fallen a victim. Ho was employed at Messrs Taylor ar.d Roberts', blacksmiths, and had been eeriously ill in the New Plymouth Hospital for socio days.
The Rev. Harvie ha 3 been out all day with Nurse Morgan, who lias been attending and assisting patiests in all parts of the district. Nurse McFadgen, who has been seriously ill for the past few days, is now recovering.
Advico from Mew Plymouth states that his Worship the Mayo? is seriously ill, and wc await snsiously to learn of better reports. News has been received that Councillor Coldwell, who wa3 very ill when admitted to the New Plymouth Hospital, has died Though yet a young man, he was a very old resident of this district, was prominent in the Foresters' and Masonic circles, and also in loeal_politics. Hp was also captain: of the local Fire Brigade, and as a business man and a citizen hejvas very hirfSly esteemed. an 9 his place wiTT V hard to fill in our community. Considerable svmpathy will bo felt for his widow and famiTv.

Fifteen cases have come into the hospital up to date. Two males cuul two ■females were admitted from the Stratford district, four males and one female from Eltham ißorough, oiie family oJF four from Te Roti, two of wTTom are now convalescent, and two mates from Rawhitiroa.
An influenza pstieni at the Saihfay Hotel was seized with a fit of delirium or. Friday morning and, clad only in his night attire, scrambled through an upstairs bedroom window out on to the verandah of the hotel. ! He was seen by Mr. Roy Velvin, who, with the assistance of Mr. Harold Gibson, got him back to hi* room and eventually had him conveyed to the hospital j.n Bridge Streot.— Argus.
