HURRIED TO, BRUSSELS. A BELGIAN FORCE. London, Nov. 19. A Belgian communique states: Continuing our advance we readied tlie line of Baßesrode, east of Termonde. In order to keep general security a cavalry brigade, reinforced by artillery, cyclists and carbineers was sent to Brussels, and a cavalry regiment sent to Malines. Munition depots were exploded at Brussels and set fire to the north and south Schaelbeck stations. —Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. TROUBLE IN ANTWERP. THE CIVILIANS GAIN ARMS. Rotterdam, Nov. 'lB. When the German soldiers were demobilising largo numbers abandoned their arms or sold their rifles, machinepins. and grenades to Belgian Chilians. Similarly, at Brussels, enormous quantities of arms and ammunition are now in the hands of Belgian laborers. The Soldiers' Council ordered civilians to surrender arms, but there was practically no response. Serious trouble is apprehended at Antwerp when tlhe last German soldiers leave. —Aus. N.Z.
