THE DISASTROUS COLLISIONNew York, Nov. 2. In the Brooklyn railway collision, all the passengers in the first car were killed, also many in the second. More than a hundred were injured. The accident occurred in the middle of a tunnel, which greatly hampered the rescue work. The District Attorney has ordered tlie arrest of the railway company officials. It is alleged that inexperienced motormen were employed. Tiie loss of life is the heaviest in any metropolitan railway accident— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc.
