Entries for the champion one-day but-tor-fat competition close on November 4 The prizes are: First, trophy valued at £0 6s; second, £3 cash; and third, £2 cash The conditions provide that the cows shall be' milked on owner's farm in the presence of a steward appointed by the association. The weight of milk and a sanjple will be taken by the steward for two milkings. The winning cows will be'subsequently exhibited at the show, and results will be posted at the secretary's office on the show grounds on the first day. -l"'S competition was a great success last year, when it was initiated. The minimum of trouble and risk to competitors and the avoidance of disturbing conditions for the cows under test was much appreciated by exhibitors. Entries are freely coming in, and intending competitors should remember the closing date. November 4.
