DEPUTATION TO MINISTERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Nignt. Speaking at the Alliance deputation to Mr. Massey and Sir Joseph Ward today, a request was made by trie .Rev. K. S. Gray that an inquiry should be made whether a certain vessel which arrived recently carried about 50,000 cases or casks of whisky; whotlul- that cargo was broached during the passage; whether some of the firemen, as a result of such broaching, became so drunk that the ship was delayed two or three days at sea, and whether some of the passengers had helped to stoki? tlw chip.
