ALLEGED IMPERSONATION. 13 y Telegraph.—-Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 23James Luke Raglan, a member of the Seamen's Union, was charged before Mr. Frazer, S.M., to-day on three charges of personation at the Wellington Central election, under the name of Walter Gent, Thomas Jeromson, and another; also on one charge that he applied to vote in one name, having already voted. The evidence disclosed a chance meeting of accused and the Registrar of Electors (Mr. W. E. Gladstone) at two booths, and that the Registrar warned the accused that his votes, which had been recorded at two booths, would not be totalled in the election results. Accused pleaded not guilty, and was committed for trial, bail being allowed-
