OCCUPATION OF TRIPOLI. PEOPLE OVERJOYED AT DELIVERANCE. TURKS BOMBED FROM HOMS. Received Oct 22, 9.45 pjn. Cairo, Oct 21. Air. Maney, writing from Tripoli on October 18, says: Armored cars and British yeomanry occupied Tripoli on the 13th unopposed, the Turks having previously evacuated At the time of writing some of the British and Indian infantry forces had arrived. The troops were everywhere splendidly received by the population, who were overjoyed that the British had delivered them from the Turkish yoke. Yeomanry and Indian cavalry entered Boms on the 15th, the Anstralian Flying Corps hiving bombed the Turks, who .fled after burning the railway buildings. Their retreat was hastened by further bombing.—Am. and NX Cable Assoc.
