A meeting of the committee set up to organise the Methodist Day appeal for patriotic funds was held yesterday afternoon, the Rev- W A. Sinclair presiding. It was decided that the "day" should -be on November 16, the funds raised to be divided between the Red Cross, Patriotic Committee, and the Y-M.C.A. Messrs V. Griffiths and R. L. Cooper were appointed joint secretaries, and Messrs C. E. Bellringer and P. J. White treasurers. A sub-committee was set up to arrange a concert, to he given on Wednesday, September 13, in the Good Templar Hall. Meetings will be held in each of the town churches to put the matter before the congregations, and arrangements were made for visiting the country districts in order to secure the eo-operation of the mitying congregations. The stalls arc to be arranged in a similar manner to that of last year, and the grouping of the various centres will be along the same lines. The ministers of the circuit with the secretaries and treasurers, were appointed an executive committee.
