WAR RISK BONUS TO CRIiWS. By Telegraph.—Press Assoeiatinn. Wellington. Last Night. Following on the lines o f the Commonwealth Shipping Board. New Zealand ship-owners, at the request of the Senmen's Union, have agreed to grant, as from October 1, a war risk bonn« to sailors, firemen, and trimmers of £3 per month, and to ordinary seamen £2 per month, in vessels trading in the following danger areas:—South Atlantic Ocean north of the 35th south latitude parallel; North Atlantic Ocean, including the Gulf of Meirico, north-west, north, and east of the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal; the Irish Sea, including St- George's Channel, the Bristol Channnel, and the north channel of the North Sea, or English Channel; the Mediterranean Sea, including the Straits of Gibraltar. In the vessels employed in other waters, a war risk bonus of 80s per month has been granted to sailors, firemen, and trimmers, and 20s to ordinary seamen.
