Wellington,. Oct. 7. Ail agreement has been reached'by the conference (between the City Council repjesentp/,ives and the Tramway Union under the presidency of Mr. Nekton, Conciliation Commissioner. The agreement, which has to/ib 6 ratified by the council and the unjfon, is uivkrstood Jto provide for a flat inininrum wage "of Is 4i per hour for al* tramway employees, which is wliat tha men have been demanding, making A minimum of 64s for a 43-hour week. The new rates will operate as from October 4, 1918, to October 3, 1019.
