LIVE STOCK SALES. ADDINGTON MARKER. Cliristchurch, September 25. At Addington market to-day there were moderate entries of fat stock, but a larger yarding of stores. Cattle were at advanced rates in consequence of the short supply, and fat sheep fluctuated, but on the whole showed little change Graziers were operating in unfinished sheep. Store sheep were offered in" much larger numbers than of late, including some southern lines, but these did not sell well. The market on the whole was easier. There was a good offering of store cattle, but the demand was not very brisk. Three-year-old steers met with the best inquiry, but the prices they realised were moderate. Pigs sold well, but dairy cows were easier in consequence of the large yarding.
Store Sheep—Two-tooth ewes to 3ta 6d, six and eight-tooth ewes to 31s 6J, ewes with lambs 15s Od to 23s 6d (all counted), twO'tooth wethers 20s to 3Ss Id, four and six-tooth wethers 34s 2d to 37s lOd, ewe hoggets 18s 8d to 36s 6d, wether hoggets 23s 6d to 28s 3d, mixed sex 'hoggets 25s 6d to 35s 7d. Fat Sheep—Extra prime wethers to 58s, prime wethers 42s to 48s Bd, medium weth«ra 37s to' 41s Gd, lighter wethers 35s fid to ,375, merino withers 27s to 29s Od. extra prime ewes 5Ss, prime ewes 37s to 42s Cd, wethers 25s Od to 3Gs, merino ewes 22s Gd to 41s 3d, extra prime hoggets 58s, prime hoggets 30s 3d to S9s. Fat lambs 20s to 35s Gd.

At Burnside to-day 210 fat cattic were penned, a fair proportion being prime. The demand was steady and prices were on a par with last week's rates.
