THE RAILWAY STRIKE. PLAYING INTO ENEMY'S HANDS. Received Sept. 25, 725 p.m. London, Sept. 24. The Board of Trade, in a statement, points out that the railway strike defies the tfhion agreement. A settlenient is impossible under such circumstances, and adds that the strike is a direct challenge to ordered government and attended with the gravest consequences to ihe country and the Allies, endangering the essential needj of the population, and seriously prejudicing the conduct of the war. THE NEW ZEALAND EDITORS. AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE. Received Sept. 25, 7.25 p.m. London, Sept. 2-1. The New Zealand editors visited tha aeroplane factories and made a flight over London. A party, .including Mr. Fred Pirani. had an exciting experience, the machine developing engine trouble and becoming almost unmanageable in a high wind and experiencing great difficulty in landing-—Aas.-'N.Z.
