THE HATRICK ESTATE.

LEGAL ADVISER ON ACTIVE SERVICE. Wellington, Sept. 10. The Military Service Board reserved its decision in the case of an application that Norman R. Bain, a soldier now on active service, should be allowed to retorn to the Dominion. This soldier had been the legal adviser of the lato Mr. A. Hatrick, of Wanganui. It was stated that the duty on the estate would probably bo from £30,000 to £40,000, and it was expected it would be sworn for probate at a quarter of a million sterling. The application was made because there was likely to be a conflict of interests, and Bain was the only one with a complete knowledge of details.
