BRIGADE DOES GOOD WORK. Christcliurch, Sept. 20. _ A' fire broke oat early this morning ifl the office of Rhodes, Ross, and Godby. solicitors, at the corner of Manchester and Hereford Streets. The Fire : Brigade effected a remarkably good saye from destruction of tha block, A good deal of dainags was don# by smflke and water to several offices in the building, the valuable law library in Mr. A. E. G Rhodes' office suffered considerably, The 'building was owned by Messrs' A. K, S. RhbdfeS' and' R. Mi Mac Donald.
