REPORTED LOSS OF A LINER.
Received Sept. 14, 12.55 a.m. New York, Sept. 11. The Canadian liner Missanbie was reported to have been sunk by a U-boat in 'European waters, but in marine circles the report has not been confirmed.-—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc THE NEW STANDARD STEAMERS. Received Sept. 13, 10.20 p.m. London, Sept. 12. A new volume of Lloyds' Register contains the names of C2 new steamers owned by the -British Shipping Controller, all having the prefix '-War," as "Warbaron" and '-Warduke." Two hundred and sixty-nine other steamers are also owned toy tho Controller.—Aus.NZ. Cable Assoc, and Reuter.
