YOUTHFUL DELINQUENTS.

To the Editor. Sir,—l fail to understand why the names of ihe youthful delinquents that have been before the court lately for theft are not published in your columns for the information and protection of the public. What I wish to convey is that if the names of the embryo burglars were known residents would be on their guard, as boys are in the habit of visiting houses on all sorts of excuses, offering tickets for sale for some patriotic entertainment or enquiring the whereabouts of some mythical person never heard of in the street. Now, if the names of these juvenile thieves were known they would not be employed to sell tickets, and nor do I think.you would employ them to sell your papers and all rospectahj* boys would shun their company. All I know of the case I read in your paper, and I am surprised that our worthy S.M. did not introduce that great conviueer, Mr Birch.—l am, etc., H. H.
