THE OWAKA SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Pres9 Association. Dunedin, Sept. 9. The Superintendent of Police lias been advised that at the inquest at Owaka on Archibald M'Gill, who was found dead in his hut at Tahakopa on Thursday, the jury's verdict was that deceased committed suicide by euttinshis throat while suffering from mental depression. SUICIDE OF HOTEL PORTER. Dunedin, Sept. 8. A Dane, named William Killstin, aged (If), was found dead early this morning. He was Tianjrins from a nail at the back of his bedroom door at the Wharf Hotel, where he had been engaged as a porter. So far as is known deceased had no relatives in New Zealand.
