A PRESIDENTIAL MOVEMENT. New York, Sept. 2. The Peking correspondent of the New York Times states: There are indications that a coup d'etat is impending, involving the presidency. Several northern generals have telegraphed to the Government advocating a compromise with the south and a postponement of the presidential election.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. LOANS TO CHINA. Received September 3, 8 p.m. Pekin, September 2. A Japanese bank has loaned China 30,000,000 yen for its military. The American company has loaned £600,000 to prqyide wireless telephones, An official gazette announces the formation of a compaVy which is virtually monopolising the imports and exports, including Iron and rice. It is believed the Japanese are providing the funds. The export of silver has been prohibited. —Reuter.
