Wellington, La9t JTigitAditional war regulations have be*n gazetted providing that before, upon, or after the I arrival at Auckland, Welling- • ton, Lyttelton, or Dunedin (including Port Chalmers) of any oversea vessel carrying troops, the Commissioner of Police, upon receipt of a requisition on . that behalf. from the Minister of Defence, may publish a notice ordering all licensed premises situated within the area speci- ■, fied in the notice to be closed for the sale of intoxicating liquor for such time as may bo specified in the notice (not exceeding 24 hours on any one occasion). If Auckland, Wellington, or Dunedin be the port of arrival, the area having a radius of 15 miles from the chief city po9t office may be specified, and, in the case of the Lyttelton port of arrival the area having a radius of 1"> miles from the chief post offi'co in Christchureh may be specified. The supply of intoxicating liquor for pecuniary consideration on the premises of a chartered club will b» \ deemed to be a sale of such liquor, ,
