THE SECOND DIVISION.
CLASS D BALLOT. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, September 8. The Recruiting Board will make an anoouneement in the next few days regarding the first ballot of D Class of the Second 'Division. No D men (three chfldren) will be taken into camp before April, if the present rate' of reinforcements continues, and the date may be later. The October, November, and January drafts (47th, 48th, and 49th Eeinforcer roents) are now closed to recruiting, and. the February draft (50th Reinforcements-) is also closed so far as Second Division men are concerned. The remainder of the C Class men, about 4000, will be gazetted on the 16th inst, fit men being posted to the March draft, for which recruiting is now open, tt is expected there will be a surplus of 0 men to carry over to the April draft. CLASS D DRAiWN IN JANUARY. Wellington, Last NigH, It has been decided that the first Fallot of Class D of the Second Division shall be drawn in January. The number of men to be dTawn Js 6000, and the names ot the selected reservists will be published in the Gazette Issued on January 15.
