The yarding of horses at Albert yards weekly sale on Friday was about the usual, prices being on a par with recent reports. On Monday at Whitford good sound cows, poor in condition, £9 10s to £ll, others £0 10s to £9 ss; yearling to 15month steers, £4 ss; ditto heifers, £3 17s 6d; calves,, poor and weedy, £1 2s to £3; empty cows, £7 10s to £8 2s 6d; hoggets, £1 5s 9d. At our Westfleld fat stock market on Wednesday prime ox beef sold to £2 13s per 1001b; ordinary and rough beef, £2 2s to £2 IBs per 1001b; cow and heifer beef, £2 3s to £2 lis per 1001b. Steers ranged in price from £lB 5s to £2l 10s; cows from £8 10s to £l6. | Calves again came forward in good num- | hers, and sold well up to late quotations. No runners yarded. Heavy 1 -ealers £4 8s to £5 9s, medium £3 1 fls to £4 (is, light £1 15s to £3 2s 6d,_ small and 6d. Sheep came forward in very siuall numbers and again showed an advanceon last week's improvtsd prices. Heavy prime wethers, £2 5s to £2 15s Gd, medium £2 Is to ■ £2 4s 9d, others £1 17s ' to £2 0s Od, unfinished £1 13s Od to £1 10s !)<]; heavy ewes, £1 Ills to £1 IDs 3d; good fat ewes, CI 13s to £1 15s 9d; hoggets, best, £1 lis 3d to £1 15s (a small pen of extra heavy prime, from Mr W. Batty, Karaka, £2 7s Od), others £1 4s 9d to £'l 10s. Good butchers' sheep are short of requirements. Pigs were, penned in average numbers, and sold under keen competition at late high values. Heavy baconcrs, £5 10s to £7 13s 6<l; large porkers, £3 8s to £5 2s fid, medium £2 15s to £3 ss, small £2 to £2 14s; store pigs, £1 Ss to £1 15s. JNo weaners penned.
