PEACE OVERTURES USELESS. PEACE OVERTURES USELESS. "WILL CONQUER OR PERISH TOGETHER." Received Aug. 28, 5.S p.m. Rome, Aug. 27. It ia reported from Vienna that the Central Powers, at the recent conference at German headquarters, agreed that peace overtures were useless, unless accompanied by an admission of defeat. The Kaiser and Emperor Karl had decided not to concede anything, but to conquer or perish together.—Reuter.
