At Opunake yards, on Saturday last, at our special horse fair, there was a fair yarding of horses of all descriptions, and prices were on a par with i May sale. We quote: Unbroken draught horses £lO to £l9,* light horses £1 to £8 10s, broken draught liorse3 £2O to £34 10s, milk carters £IS to £2B, aged draughts £5 to £lO, light harness horses and hacks £2 10s to £B, weeds 10s upwards. Opunake yards, on Monday, thera was an average yarding which sold at late rates. Fat and forward cows £ll to £l3 10s, store cows £7 10s to £lO 10», small store cows and empty heifers £5 to £G 15s, boners £3 to £4 153, yearling steers £3 10? to £">, yearling heifers £2 to £'! ss, springing heifers £0 10s to £l2 10s, dairv cows £S to £lO 10s. At Manaia yard?, on Tuesday, there was a good yarding of cattle,, and almost everything was sold. Fat and forward cows £lO to £l3 16s, store cows £(5 10s to £fl 10s, yearling steers £3 10s to £5 18s, yearling lieifers £3 to £4 23,' springing lieifers £S 10s to £.lO 103, weaner pigs 20s to 2fis, store pigs £3. At Stratford yards, on Tuesday, there was a good yarding, and prices were the sanio as late sales. At Whenuakura, on Wednesday, we*! held a clearing sale on account of Mr Turner. There was a large attendance, mid everything sold well- Dairy cows £lO to £lB, heifers £7 10s to £lO 10a. The implements and furniture sold well. At Inglewood yards, on Wednesday, cattle and sheep were penned in average numbers, and sold at low rates, except yearlings, which were a shade easier. Wc. quote: Store hoggets 21s 6d, store wethers 325, ewes 193 2d, forward cows £S 10s to £9 2s, store cows £0 to £B, empty lieifers £5 3s, yearling steers £3 10s to £0 3s, yearling heifers £1 10s to £4 V2s Od, dairy cows £S to £l2, springing heifers £7 to £lB 10s. On Thursday, at Duthie road, Mangatfki. wc held a clearing sale on account of Mr -Tas. Bolger. There was a good attendance and a most succes&ful sah. The dairy cows sold at, fr.im £to to £22 10s, averaging £lB, heifers £lO Ifls to £ls, horses £S to £3O, waggon £35. Implements and sundries also sold well. At Auroa yards, on Friday, there was a fail- yarding of cattle, and prices were on a par with late sales. Forward cows £S to £8 Ws, store cows £5 to £S, yearling steers £2 lias to £4 6s, yearling heifers £2 to £3 19s Od dairy cows £lO to £ 15s, springing heifers £5 to £l6.
