EURNSIDE. Dunedin, August 21, A small yarding of fat cattle came forward at Rurnside to-day. !54 being penned. Prices showed tin advance on •late rates. Best bullocks made up to £?."> ss, medium £IS to £2O, light and unfinished ,-ei? to £l7 10s, best cows to £lB 12s «d, heifers .-012 10s to £l6 12s fid. Fat sheep (2010 penned). In most cases prime heavyweights realised late rates, but medium and light were easier. Prime heavy wethers 4fis '9d to 535, prime 42s to 4'3s. medium and unfinished 31s fls to 3:"s fid, prime heavv ewes 43s to 4<>s Pu\ prime 33s to 40s, light and unfinished lfls to ?Ss fid. A small yarding of lambs realised bite rates—24s fid to 26s 6d. A fair yarding of pigs sold under keen competition at lute rates. (P.acoriers were firmer.

There was a good demand for dry store sheep, Jwt ewes in lamb were not sought after, in view of the fact th«.t tliope which have been in the snowbound districts may not lamb well. Fat sheep of all classes sold well, graziers tnkincr unfinished wethers and thus helping to keen the market firm. Tat cattle' showed a sharp rise in prices on account of the short supply. There was a fair demand for store cattle, and pig's, as usual, sold well.
