The hearing of the cases of tha iri* terned Irishmen is proceeding. dence so far given chiefly relates to- docn-i merits seized at the residence of soma of the internees, regarding the formation and progress of the Irish National Aw sociatiou in Australia, spreading of propaganda, the collection and transmission of funds. Amongst other documents was a quantity of correspondence with America and instructions how to read certain letters written in invisible ink. Some of the letters indicated a movement to secure freedom for Ireland from England. One document, labelled "Recipe for a severe cold," was declared by the police to be identical with the formula the LW.W. men had for the purpose of' destroying property in Sydney,—Press Association.
