INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a large attendance at the farewell social tendered to Mr and Mrs 11. C. Williams on Monday evening. The Wilson family opened the proceedings with an orchestral selection, after which dancing was indulged in for the remainder ot the evening. During the evening the Kev. Harvic, in a very complimentary speech, referred to .Mr Williams' many good qualities and his willingness at all tunes to assist in anything that pertained to the welfare of the town, and asked tiie guest to accept a wallet well filled with bank notes as a token of the esteem m which ho and Mrs Williams were held, and wished him every success m his new sphere of duty. Mr Williams suitably replied, and a very enjoyable evening was brought to a close On Saturday nevt the Red Cross Mart' will be run by the Inglewood ladies, in aid of the Copper Trail.
