COURSING.
LOCAL MAIDEN STAKES. There was a very good attendance and come very interesting coursing at the meeting held yasterday afternoon at the Taranaki Coursing Club's Plmnpton at Glcnavnn, Wahvakaiho. In all 11 dogs, owned between Now Plymouth and Oputiftke, competed- Tlio hares were local ones ami were in good condition, putting up some great runs. Mr. J. Jenkinson as judge had some close contests to decide, hot his judging gave general .satisfaction, fl'e other officials were, Messrs J. Colson (slipper), J.'Colson, A. .Haskell, and G. Bruce (stewards), and the secretary, Mr. G Bruce. Results:

Snook's Coi 3, lifter an undecided course. P. Haskell's Commoner 3% beat F/Ticlioll's 'Black Diamond 2. Messrs (J. Eruce and Haskell's Sweet Comedy 25 (beat V. Kiley's Bounce IV, after a magnificent course. J. leaver's Sun«pot 5 beat Messrs G. Bruce and Haskell's Kingi Poi 4.
