In the; Supreme Court to-day, hearing was continued of an action in which Henrietta Winifred Mason, 71 Epuni Street, Wellington, wife of Andrew Jas. Mason, of Christchurch, telegraph linesman, proceeded against William Henry Mason, of 259 .North Road, Papamii, fruit-growwer, and Lily Mason, his wife, to recover ,-£5Ol damages in connection with an alleged libel said to be contained in a letter sent from Papanui on October 20, 1017, by Lily Mason to one Edith Parsonson, in which certain allegations were made reflecting on the character of the plaintiff. Plaintiff .was awarded £SO damages.
