WORK OR FIGHT,
LABORfIS OBJECTION.
Received Aug. 21, 5.5 p.m. Washington, Aug. 20. The American Federation of Labor has protested to the House Military Committee against the Man Power Bill provision that all must work j r fight. Objection is taken to the deferred classification accorded men under the Bill when absent from work. Phis amounted to conscription of labor.
It is likely the "work or fight" amendment will be abandoned.
