This is the second of Robert' Warwick's SeJniek-Pictures, and in it this popular picture man has a rolj even more novel than that in '-'The Argyle Cni-" It is that of a man of wealth in Paris who, in league with the Apaches, holds a mysterious Court of St. Simon. The master of this court calls lumself Valentine Simon. He initiates a neurotic youth into the mysteries of the underworld, and the young man takes a morbid interest in the criminal coterie which Simon uses for (benevolent purposes. Simon utfepta Ms real name, Marquis de Sombreiiil, goes to America, and there meets and falls in iove with the young man's sister, ignorant at first of her relation to the youth. Simon marries the sister, and she diswers that he was the man who introduced her brother., to the underworld. This causes an estrangement, and then follow a series of romantic adventures through I which Simon rehabilitates himself in the eyes of his wife.
