LIGHT ON THE SUBJECT.
To the Editor. Sir, —Re lights on Mount Egmont. I live about eight miles from Tnglewood, to the north-east, ami have a fine view of "Taranaki's Pride." The lights are nothing more than belated motor-cars. Now that so much bush has been felled, the lights can be seen for miles, lyid on dark nights appear to be higher than they really are.—l am, etc., OBSERVER. Waitui; August 15.
