INDEPENDENCE RESOLUTION. Cafpatdwn, August 14'. The Nationalist Central Committee passed a resolution in favor of independence. This has been sent to all branches, with instructions to more it, together with a non-confidence vote against all the Ministers in the course of their present tour.

At the Supreme Court, before JudgSr Hoaking and a jury, Leonard Cbaples Utting petitioned for a divorco worn, £lsOl damages against the co-respond-ent, Harry 6. Mcmcrief. Petitioner 'had been on active service in Mesopotamia, and on returning to New Zealand discovered that his wife had been unfaithful. The jury awarded £250 damages. His Honor made an order accordingly, and granted a decree nisi.
