INDEPENDENCE RESOLUTION. Cafpatdwn, August 14'. The Nationalist Central Committee passed a resolution in favor of independence. This has been sent to all branches, with instructions to more it, together with a non-confidence vote against all the Ministers in the course of their present tour.
This has been carried everywhere at the meetings, though Ministers have been courteously received and given a, fair hearing.--Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc.
SUPREME COURT. A DIVORCE CASE s By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, before JudgSr Hoaking and a jury, Leonard Cbaples Utting petitioned for a divorco worn, £lsOl damages against the co-respond-ent, Harry 6. Mcmcrief. Petitioner 'had been on active service in Mesopotamia, and on returning to New Zealand discovered that his wife had been unfaithful. The jury awarded £250 damages. His Honor made an order accordingly, and granted a decree nisi.
