Signer CsMppelli will be remembered as the principal tenor of the late Gonzalez .Opera Company, when that organisation recently toured the Dominion. His remarkably 'fine singing on that occasion stamped .Cappelli as a singer of rare merit. The vi«iting artist possesses a voice of singular beauty and rich in tone. There is nothing harsh or metallic about Gap* pelli's' voice. He lias a phenomenal range which he ' uses judiciously anct with skill. Critics are unanimous in -describing Cappelli's intonation as superb, while his temperament is a further part of his equipment as a very finished artist. Cappelli has a most e*"» tensive repertoire culled from favorite operas, and his programme consists of masterpieces from the works of Verdi, Donizetta, Bizet, Maseagni and othernoted composers.
