NEW SOUTH WALES POLICE REPORT.
Sydney, August 14.
The police report for the year has been tabled in the Assembly. It shows that 70,097 cases of offences were reported, compared with 80,915 in the prejvious year.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc.
| STONEY BUTCHERS CLOSING. Sydney, August 14. A meeting of master retail butchers decided to close on Monday next until the usual supplies at schedule rates were forthcoming. Many suburban shops have already closed owiug to the shortage, but the Federal Government is determined to continue price-fixing.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assoc.
