TV New York Times' Pekin correspondent states that a contract has 'been signed for eighty million yen gold loan from Japan to China. The Japanese legation denied knowof tlie loan, inferring the transaction was unofficial. The terms of the loan are adversely criticised- —Press Assoc.

The American labor mission, headed by Mr Samuel Gompers, will visit Britain, Branca and Italy in September for the purpose of conferring with tie labor representatives.
