SOMES ISLAND ESCAPEES.
DRIFTING BOAT FOUNDBy Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, August 10. A large open boat which drifted on the Evans Bay beach at 7.30 yesterday morning is thought to have some connection with the escape of the Germans from Somes Island a few hours previously, « Wellington, Last Night. Inquiry of the police to-day elicited that there was still no news of the Somes Island escapees.
