MATTER UNDER CONSIDERATION,

The secretary of a lobal union has ivired Sir James Allen stating that UM union deplores the possibility of a strike At the West Coast mines owing to the owners' attitude towards the Coalminers' Federation, and strongly uiget the Government to take over the mines, Sir James Allen replied: "The mattei you refer to has been under considera< tion for some time, especially by the Minister of Mines. Every consideration will be given by the Government your representations."
