MERGING WAITARA WEST ROAD DISTRICT. is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Council oi the County of Taranaki held on Monday- the fifth day of August 1918 the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting to be held at 11 a.m. on Monday the second day of Septembei 1918. That in pursuance of tlia powers conferred on it by Section 31 of "The Counties Act 1!I08" the Council of the County of Taranaki on the petition of a majority of the Ratepayers oi the Waitara West Road District possessing in the aggregrate not less than half the rateable value therein resolves by way of Special Order that on and after the 30th day of September 1916 the aforesaid Road District shall be merged into the County of Taranaki and the Board thereof abolished. J ARNOLD PETER ADO'LPHUS MATHIESON heretofore called and known by the name of ARNOLD PETER ADOLPHUS SCHWARTZ of New Plymouth, Carpenter, hereby give public notice that on the 26th day of July 1918 having previously pursuant to the regulations under "The War Regulations Act 1914" obtained the consent in writing of the Honorable the Minister for Internal Affairs I formally and absolutely renounced relinquished and abandoned the use of my surname of Schwartz and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Mathieson instead of the said name of Schwartz AND I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 26th day of July 1918 duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Taranaki Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand on the 7th day of August 1918 I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of Schwartz and declared that 1 had assumed and adopted and intended thence forth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of Mathieson instead of Schwartz and so as to be at all times thereafter called known and described by the name of Mathieson exclusively.
