INTERNEES PLEASE THEMSELVES AS TO WORK. (Special Correspondent.) Wellington, Last Night. Recently the Minister of Defence aaked the authorities whether enemy alien .civilians interned in the United Kingdom were compelled to do work of any kind, except the cleaning of their room and ordinary fatigues. The reply is: "Such internees are not obliged to do any work other than fatigue duty connected with the camps, either for health reasons or otherwise."
