By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, j West to south-westerly winds, strong to gale, have ruled over the Dominion. Cold, squally and changeable conditions have prevailed, Willi rain on the west coast and northern and southernmost districts. The barometer has heen very unsteady. Present indications are for high west to south-westerly winds; cold and squally weather generally. Hail and sleet In parts. Snow on the higher levers and in the south. The barometer is rising everywhere. I
