.EVERYBODY'S. :-. JMOLLIE. KING- IN "THE MYSTERY' OE THE DOUBLE CROSS." •'The Double Cross" is a serial, with imystery and adventure as its leading points, and its first instalment runs at [Everybody's knight and to-morrow. Miss ■■ Mollis King is heroine in this jpowerful dramatic story,, and through it, even in. this first chapter, she meets with exciting adventures. These mystery serials as a rule go far beyond the bounds of probability, but "The Double jCross" comes here with the name of being as realistic as it is thrilling. On itlie same programme there is a aeven ireel Triangle super-feature, entitled "I |Lovo You," in which Alma Rubens stars jas "Felice," "The Passion Flower," in la drama which develops into a storm of love, passion and pathos. Triangle [have given us many good pictures, but' lit is doubtful if they have ever given better- than "I Love You."

THE FISK JUBILEE' SINGERS. The Ksk Jubilee Singers, the unique success of whose season in New Zealand' some years ago will toe remembered by music-lovers, are commencing a snort season of two nights at the Empire theatre on Wednesday, August 7th. The enterprise is under ,the direction of Messrs C. A. White and Marshall Palmier, and the personnel of the company is well up to the standard by which (they attained previously, such a liberal bneasure of popularity.. The programme .consists of characteristic jubilee choruses, glees, solos, plantation melodies, quartettes, coon songs ragtime. ditties, etc. The well Known lady baritone, Miss Belle Gibbons, is still a tower of strength to the company, and' the music is in the capable hands of Professor C. A. White. Tho combination have just concluded a lengthy and successful tour of Australia. The Box ;Plan for the two night season will open' at Collier's on Saturday morning.
