DISTRICT NEWS.
LBPPERTON. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs- J. Clark recoived word a few days ago of the d«ath of her father, Mr. Gooeh, of Timaru, at an advanced ageMr. Reg. Fussel has left for camp. The local dairy company paid a bonus of 2d to suppliers last pay-day. Miss Spcnce, formerly a teacher in the local school, has been appointed to Waiongona. A number of the young people of the district are organising an entertainment to take place nest month in aid of the Blind Soldiers' Fund, a most worthy one . and deserving of cordial support. Dialogues, songs, drills, and dances are all in course of preparation for it.
