INDUSTRIAL UNIONS. Received July 20, 9 p.m, Sydney, July 20. It is officially stated that in 1917 there were 747 industrial unions in the Commonwealth, with a raemjjership of 504,187, compared with 302 and a membership of 147,049 in 19W. HEAVY RAIN. , Sydney, July 20. Heavy rain has again set in. DEARTH OF SHIPPING. ,__ Sydney, July 20. A deputation of primary producers interviewed Mr. Poynton regarding the dearth of shipping to shift the increasing stores. It is estimated that the stocks of wheat now are 175,000,000 bushels; wool, IV4 million bales; beef, 30,000 tons ; mutton, 5000 tons, rabbits, 17,000 tons; butter, 1000 tons. ■ ;' ;!■'#.s!£'
