BUTTER EQUALISATION FUND.
CONFERENCE WITH MINISTERS.By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A conference was held yesterday and to»day between representatives of buttermakers and the Ministers of Agriculture and Imperial Supplies, with reference to the equalisation fund for butter producers. ' Mr. A. Morton (chairman of the Dominion Butter Committee) stated that the equalisation fund was now in a fair Way to be established, whereby producers who have exported, and those supplying the local market will participate. It is expected that finality will shortly be reached. Mr Morton pointed out that the contract with the Imperial Government for the sale of export butter empires on July 31, and subsequent arrangements will be subject to the establishment of an equalisation fund, which, Mr. Morton says, should dispel any anxiety as to local prices for butter not being maintained at the present Tate,
